Don’t worry, they will come.

Or the emulator will come

Tbh it’s the next game coming (according to some leaks)

9

u/xdegen i5 8600k / RTX 3070 FE / 32GB 3000MHz CL15 Oct 21 '21

The next game coming after God of War is Uncharted 4 + Lost Legacy.. they already released a trailer for it and everything. It's coming Early 2022, no exact date specified, but it's arriving after God of War.

3

u/imad7x PC Master Race Oct 21 '21

Done with GoW 1,2,3 on RPCS3, on to Uncharted 1,2,3.

1

u/rashon456thereal Oct 21 '21

How does God of war 3 runs on rpcs3 now I'm looking to run it on a i7 10700kf and rtx 3070 would it be playable if I ask ?

1

u/imad7x PC Master Race Oct 21 '21

Absolutely. I completed it without any issues on an i7 7700 3060Ti. You just need to make sure you tweak some settings and enable patches.

1

u/rashon456thereal Oct 21 '21

Ok and thanks

3

u/x_dArKnIGhT_x Oct 21 '21

Ikr I meant after these 2 games

3

u/xdegen i5 8600k / RTX 3070 FE / 32GB 3000MHz CL15 Oct 21 '21

I wouldn't be surprised. I'm just hoping that we also eventually get sequel ports to these games, preferably not years from now.

Like God of War: Ragnarok. Wouldn't mind getting that on PC a year after it releases on PS5, as opposed to waiting 3-4 years..

1

u/ShakeandBaked161 PC Master Race Oct 21 '21

Yeah hopefully these Port signal change coming

1

u/xdegen i5 8600k / RTX 3070 FE / 32GB 3000MHz CL15 Oct 22 '21

Since Sony owns Nixxes Studios (the ones doing all these PC Ports), hopefully it's a sign that they intend on keeping steady port development for the foreseeable future.

2

u/jesh_12 Oct 21 '21

Oh shit, really?? Then i dont need to save up for a playstation then!

If you just mean it's not LITERALLY gunna be the next one, then maybe. But if you're saying it will NEVER happen, then:

"Horizon Zero Dawn should come to PC."
"nah bro lmao"

"Detroit: Become Human should come to PC."
"nah bro lmao"

"Journey should come to PC."
"nah bro lmao"

"Death Stranding should come to PC."
"nah bro lmao"

"Nioh 2, Days Gone, Byond Two Souls, God of War should come to PC."
"nah bro lmao"

If you're saying it'll never show up, then cope harder, because it will come eventually. Might not be next, but it defs is coming eventually. People have said "nah" to all PS5 games coming, and yet, they are.

-1

u/aryvd_0103 Oct 21 '21

They said that games that have been out for a while, like 2-3 years and have seen almost no retail activity will be ported to pc to reach new player base. Although some like last of us might not come as they are the system sellers

5

u/sthegreT Oct 21 '21

God of war was also a system seller. Arguably a bigger one considering it sold 18 million units in a shorter time than last of us did and that it has been a part of the PS line since PS2 era.

-4

u/Wolfgod_Holo Ryzen 7 1700X | GTX 1080ti SC2 Black Edition| 32 GB DDR4 Oct 21 '21

Heavy Rain took 9 years...

1

u/TopHatMcFenbury GTX 1080 / i7-7700k / 32GB DDR4-3200 Oct 29 '21

Meant to give the reply then, but why not now. Because 9 years ago they didn't want to release their games on PC. Now they do. It's as simple as that.

8

u/Spartanfred104 Oct 20 '21

2022 we will definitely be seeing it.

4

u/LastLetter444 Oct 21 '21

Y'all said that when the massive NVIDIA leak happened.

Now what ?

Checkmate Sony droids.

-1

u/StannisNo1Dad EOS | R5 5600X | 3060 Ti | 16GB Oct 21 '21

Its not really about being a droid or anything, but saying that games like Tsushima will come to PC is just wishful thinking for the most part. The Geforce leak is not very reliable in the way that you can also just stream PS4 games onto PC using PS now, so it doesnt really have any bearing on what Sony releases on PC or not.

Plus, especially Sucker Punch has never released or remade any games for PC, what makes everyone think theyre gonna start now?

4

u/LastLetter444 Oct 21 '21

Sony telling them to, these studios are contracted and if Sony wished they could easily just get a 3rd party to port it over as they own the IP.

Secondly, yall said the exact same thing about god of war. God of war is now on PC, so now yall are just going down the games list.

Accept it, exclusives are becoming a thing of the past. The PC market is too big for companies like Sony to ignore.

QQ more fanboy.

-4

u/StannisNo1Dad EOS | R5 5600X | 3060 Ti | 16GB Oct 21 '21

I mean, I'm not really crying, I'm just saying: dont get your hopes up. All the games they are porting now were free for playstation users, so its easy for them to say, hey lets just port them so people buy them again for pc.

I'd say theres a higher chance for Bloodborne to be released on pc than it is for Tsushima.

2

u/LastLetter444 Oct 21 '21

Uh uh.

Keep telling yourself that, chief.

2

u/Penguinwolf4 Oct 21 '21

pretty sure ghost was on the same list of leaks with gow and others that have all happened so it is likely

Seriously do you even MVG?

2

u/BillV3 Ryzen 5600X , 16GB DDR4-4000 CL14, 3080Ti Oct 21 '21

Works only on linux, has a very small library of games that currently 'work', It's impressive no doubt but I'd say it's a long way from 'fully functional'

3

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '21

On the one hand: It's a fair point.

On the other hand: There's no such thing as fully functional. Emulators are never going to be 1:1 for the original hardware. You can see how hard it is even to get Saturn emulation done.

It's all about being close enough to enjoy the games.

The important thing is: there's work being done, and even if Sucker Punch never release Ghost of Tsushima on PC, it'll more or less work one day, on PC. The PC has mature emulators for PS1, PS2, and PS3. The biggest library of PlayStation games is available on PC. That is going to be true of PS4, too, eventually.

2

u/Zetra3 Oct 21 '21

If I can play every game on the system I’d consider that fully functional. And I know quite a few that can

1

u/Khardian Oct 21 '21

That's exactly what we need to do. Someday we will have even ps5 emulators

5

u/KFC_Junior i5 4590, 1050ti, 1600mhz hyperx fury ddr3 Oct 21 '21

cough cough emulators

1

u/HahaAndreww Oct 21 '21

same! I'm on PS and I hope PC gets that amazing game ☹

1

u/josedasjesus Oct 21 '21

but lets face, all PS4 exclusives deserve 2 less metacritic points than what they got

1

u/joegonzalez722 Oct 22 '21

Yea that's the thing, I'd go with both platforms because there are bound to be games not available for either pc or PS4/5/Xbox/whatever else

1

u/Mydogatemyexcuse Oct 25 '21

I really, really, really want an Infamous remastered collection for PC

where bloodborne?

39

u/unsurp4ssed Oct 20 '21

In the future ;)

4

u/Pandanutiy 5700 beta tester Oct 21 '21

considering that most games that sony gave away to pc have next parts (horizon zero dawn and god of war for example) i really doubt bloodborne will come to pc at all as fromsoft prefers to make new games rather than sequels. At this point best bet imo is to wait for ps4 emulation and maybe after that sony will allow someone to remake bloodborne for ps6 or ps7.

5

u/Malvon00 Oct 21 '21

That's the dream, let's never give up.

30

u/LordFenix_theTree Oct 20 '21

I’m all for everyone enjoying all of the great exclusives at high framerates and beautiful graphics, on pc of course, can’t have those consoles worsen the experience with their inferior performance. But for those who are content without such things a console serves well for many years as a gaming machine.

13

u/x_dArKnIGhT_x Oct 20 '21

I totally agree my “gaming laptop” hardly gives 80fps now after an year

21

u/LordFenix_theTree Oct 20 '21

I had one of those gaming laptops, they should be rebranded as thermal hotplates with a digital display.

-7

u/ShawnBawn88 3080 Tuf - 5600x - 32 GB 3600 CL16 Oct 20 '21

Gaming and laptop shouldn't go together imho

9

u/flavionm Ryzen 5 5600X | Radeon RX 6600 XT Oct 20 '21

Consoles are good in their niche, it's just when you're forced to get one even when you don't need it that they suck. Thankfully that's becoming less necessary, as we're starting to get the exclusives from both.

2

u/dotConehead Ryzen 5 3500X - RX580 4GB - 16GB DDR4 Oct 21 '21

dunkey make a good point regarding this. you need competition. without exclusivity, sony wont bother to create sony studio in the first place. hence there will be lacking of fund for this studio that have created so much banger over the years. most of the goty material always come from exclusive title.

3

u/flavionm Ryzen 5 5600X | Radeon RX 6600 XT Oct 21 '21

They'd still need good games to make sure people want to buy consoles, so even if they were making everything available on every platform, it would still make sense for Sony to make games. Big games also sell pretty well by themselves, so it's not like they'd lose money making them.

And even if some exclusivity is needed, they only need to not be available on other consoles, since that's where the direct competition is. Besides the games both consoles are pretty much the same, while PCs are quite different. Microsoft already realized it, and Sony finally started.

2

u/dotConehead Ryzen 5 3500X - RX580 4GB - 16GB DDR4 Oct 21 '21

they do but what they wont have is the initial funding from sony to created this game. a sure stable and constant source of income and massive backing. sony have always released their old exclusive into pc platform. this isnt something new. there is no risk of less consumer for a games that was released 5 years ago. they do lose money releasing it on steam or epic. because steam take 30% of the total revenue. the reason why console is so cheap is because they make their money back from the game sales. sharing the profit with other entities is off the table.

1

u/flavionm Ryzen 5 5600X | Radeon RX 6600 XT Oct 21 '21

I was talking about Sony. My point was that Sony would still be funding games, even if they weren't exclusives.

Besides, they haven't really released any exclusives besides those release in the last couple years, so I don't know where you're getting that from.

They could also make their own launcher on PC and keep all the profit it sharing it was really off the table, yet so far they're sticking with Steam.

0

u/dotConehead Ryzen 5 3500X - RX580 4GB - 16GB DDR4 Oct 21 '21

im still talking about sony. they wont be funding any games if a big portion of the sales would go to different party. the reasons why they spend millions on money acquiring a new game studio is that they know all of the generated money will eventually come back to them. and more importantly is their ability to control their consumer expectations and hardware capabilities. by having multi platform released they would need different team altogether to match with millions of pc configuration and windows configuration which mind you is own by Microsoft, their direct rivals. cyberpunk disaster come from that where they have this big project but they cant optimize their game to specific hardware and limitations hence everything failed.

6

u/Bacon-muffin i7-7700k | 3070 Aorus Oct 20 '21

I just can't stand playing on them, nothing to even do with performance I just find them so incredibly inconvenient to play on.

I have a PS4 I bought for exclusives, and I genuinely hate using it. Can't alt tab to do anything a PC can do. Even when you pop an SSD in there its still tremendously slower.

But I mean, for the budget I don't think a PC is really going to compete.

1

u/aryvd_0103 Oct 21 '21

Same. That's why I would always prefer consoles cuz they are hassle free (albeit I have to pay more) but when it comes to shooters and multiplayer games etc. where every frame is helpful , I prefer pc

11

u/nico7550 Oct 20 '21

don't forget every games ever released on every systems if emulators exist, I so love gaming PC and all the stuff you can do and create beside the gaming side, including modding

18

11

Demon's Souls is soft-confirmed, BB is not.

4

u/flavionm Ryzen 5 5600X | Radeon RX 6600 XT Oct 20 '21

That leak didn't have a Steam Id for Demon's Souls, so I wouldn't hold my breath. At least the PS3 emulator can run the original pretty well.

6

u/june_47 Fx 6300 1050 Ti Oct 20 '21

Games out of your casual bubble doesn't count as "trash games not worth porting"

-9

u/AdonisTheWise Oct 20 '21

My opinions are fact and above all else

But seriously, a game from 2015 that wasn’t even in top 10 sales for PS4, let alone other platforms? THAT game is part of a casual bubble, plus you’re biased since a game from 2015 is probably all your pc could run

6

u/june_47 Fx 6300 1050 Ti Oct 20 '21

Demon souls didnt release in 2015. according to you if a game's sales is not within the top 10 , its "trash" ? Fine. You called two "souls type" game "trash" with no context so i just assumed that you only prefer casual and easy games, that is what i meant by "casual bubble" and thanks for poor shaming me, hope you keep enjoying your casual games with high sales.

-12

u/AdonisTheWise Oct 20 '21

Yeah if it’s not top 10 it’s dookie, and I don’t play casual games I mostly play online shooters and am one of the top players in most of them

Course, with the Bethesda purchase, that could change pretty quick.

Only thing is there are PS4 games that you can't play on PC, and you can get $60 PS4 games for $30 or cheaper, pre-owned after a year. PC games on steam stay the same price (besides the occasional steam sale)

All in all, I'd say get both systems.

For all those saying emulators and what not. If you emulate a game that’s readily available and easily accessible, you’re a dick.

I always knew they were going to bring the exclusives to PC now I havent seen the numbers but Im pretty sure most people on PC aren’t buying consoles for exclusives as much any more and the PC market is growing. I am not sure about the nature of console manufacturing anymore but I remember hearing that they used to be sold as a loss because you spend so much on a game you can buy a few games and they are in the green. But the prospect of selling someone an item at a loss for them to purchase one game instead of 10 like they planned it to make up for the console doesn’t leave much room for profit as most people who own PCs will get the rest of their games on PC for cheaper and wider variety of extras such as modding. Combine that with the fact that there is just more to do on PC including outside of gaming and that I would believe the majority of people dont have the cash to splash on both PC and console and that is why the exclusives are coming to PC. Xbox had this figured out and on its way with gamepass and the halo franchise but sony is just testing the waters now to see if it is true. After the test period I presume we will have quite a few options in terms of older and newer exclusives coming to PC.

Not what happened with Destiny franchise. PlayStation nerds always get 1 year exclusive of anything new
