Finishing my first playthrough of dark souls!

u/JoeBob789 Oct 27 '21

I nod my head at you.

u/Drawde123 Oct 27 '21

Praise the Sun!

3

u/Shiitmist Oct 27 '21

I actually played DS II amd DS III aswell as bloodborn and (sort of) sekiro (never really got further than the centipede and pretty much ragequit lmao) but must say, this game is very easy with a +4 BKGS. Otherwise very fun ^

u/Moosebones445 Oct 28 '21

Just started Hades and loving it so far

2

u/danceswithronin Oct 27 '21

Hades is easily in my top five games of all time, every aspect of it is just perfect. I do wish for a sequel or some expanded content though.

13

u/kimchimagic Oct 27 '21

Guardians Of The Galaxy! I’m having a lot of fun. I recommend.

8

u/SaeedKhani Oct 27 '21

Starting to play THE BANNER SAGA from the first one...

2

u/Pepper3493 Oct 27 '21

Ohhh yeah great games

2

u/HydroPpar Oct 28 '21

I've always been interested in trying that. How you liking it?

2

u/SaeedKhani Oct 29 '21

As a turn based lover i always wanted to play thos game from years ago but never happened , now im regret why i didnt play sooner ...it has a very good story , actually the story keeps u want to play more and it is like an animation movie...the combat is simple but if u love games with story , play it...and evey choice in game is matters /

7

u/ardyndidnothingwrong Oct 27 '21

Scarlet Nexus, it's a blast!

I haven't gotten so sucked into a game for a while. I really like how they did the powers

7

u/VeryTimelyDuck Oct 27 '21

I'm playing Vintage Story. It's essentially a Minecraft clone inspired by the TerraFirmaCraft mod with more emphasis on the survival gameplay. 80 hours into it, got through my first winter with just barely enough food left in the cellar. I'm loving this a lot more than Minecraft.

2

u/thebananamagician Oct 27 '21

How much food did you have stored at the start of winter? I only managed to grow enough food to fill 2 vessels with grains and vegetables.

1

u/VeryTimelyDuck Oct 27 '21

I had 20 crocks of red meat stew with veggies, 20 crocks of jam, and 7 stacks of flour for making bread. It's probably more than what you need to survive winter, but I kept dying during the temporal storms so I had to keep replacing nutrition.

7

u/SomeDonkusLives Oct 27 '21

Jedi Fallen Order. I love how satisfying everything (besides the back tracking and death loading screens)is.

2

u/livingnitemare99 Switch Oct 28 '21

That death screen lasts forever man

2

u/MossCovered_Gradunza Oct 28 '21

I can't decide whether I love the maps for being so large and intricate with all the back-tracking, or hate them for it. I go back and forth. Zeffo was something else, man.

1

u/SomeDonkusLives Oct 28 '21

I’m on my second trip to Zeffo. I like it.

2

u/jamestitchen Oct 28 '21

Zeffo is the only horrible map on that game, stupid it’s so early on as could put a lot of people off, rest of the game is glass. Combat is so satisfying to pull off

5

u/ElysiumStyx Switch Oct 27 '21

I just started Digimon CyberSleuth - this is my first Digimon game and I have no clue what I’m doing, but it’s cool so far!

4

u/bornfromchrome Oct 27 '21

I’m playing through Bloodborne for the second time. Halloween is coming up so I thought going on the hunt again would put me in the spooky mood

4

u/Ohgames283 Oct 27 '21

Replaying GTA SA and GTA VC

1

u/ljday27 PlayStation Oct 28 '21

I’m replaying GTA 3 at the moment. Aiming to platinum all 3 of the OG trilogy before Christmas when I’ll get the remasters.

3

u/poncorkeofrivia Oct 27 '21

Skyrim

I successfully modded it to hell with Lexy's guide. Hopefully I won't get bored after level 30 now.

4

u/kizzyjenks Oct 27 '21

I've been playing Stardew Valley but I need something else. Great game but you can have too much of a good thing. So I'll be playing a game called Scrolling Through Steam until I give up.

2

u/Xellos77 Oct 28 '21

Sun Haven. Still early access but it's definitely fun. Very much a Stardew valley inspired game, with its own personality.

1

u/kizzyjenks Oct 28 '21

This has come up in my recommended but seemed a little pricey. I'll stick it on my wishlist for a day when I'm feeling less tight-fisted.

3

u/Ironfistlavely Oct 27 '21

Cyberpunk 2077

4

u/TheCerealFiend Oct 28 '21

Just finished the main storyline for no man's sky. Absolutely loved it and there's still so much to do in the game.

4

u/Moosebones445 Oct 28 '21

I went back to battlefield 1 and it’s such a breath of fresh air

9

u/VendingMachineOfDoom Oct 27 '21

Still playing Far Cry 6. It’s a lot more content than I was expecting!

2

u/GreenTeaRex007 Oct 28 '21

It’s a typical Ubisoft game

2

u/goofy_dumpy Oct 29 '21

I’m trying to get through 5. The game just won’t end!

3

u/totallyintotraps PlayStation Oct 27 '21

I’m doing the Halloween stuff on red dead online

1

u/proffplumpy Oct 27 '21

There is Halloween stuff?

1

u/totallyintotraps PlayStation Oct 27 '21

Right now there’s mask and a zombie survival thing, on the 28th the main event starts

1

u/proffplumpy Oct 27 '21

I can never find out where things are in RDR2, my slow ass needs a lot more spoon feeding. To this day I still dont know where to spend the Capitale.

1

u/totallyintotraps PlayStation Oct 27 '21

I have the same problem, the masks are with madam nazar, you’ll get a letter about the zombie stuff

Hell let Lose It's a great game if your Team communicates and you have a commander who knows what he's doing. If not...it's still a good WW2 game.

I'm also going to play the Halloween Event in Hunt:Showdown to get the Hunter skin. Even though the Event itself is rather boring and pretty much the same es every Event in Hunt:Showdown.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 27 '21

Terraria!

3

u/AtLevi Oct 27 '21

Decided to pick up Ghost Recon Breakpoint, as it seems the game has become far better now than at release. It also has a pretty big update on the way.

1

u/HydroPpar Oct 28 '21

Is that upcoming update paid content or free?

1

u/AtLevi Oct 29 '21

It's free for everyone! The update is called operation motherland, and will be launched on November 2.

3

u/astron3131 PC Oct 27 '21

Dying light, fortnite, maybe Forza 4

1

u/proffplumpy Oct 27 '21

Dying Light is brilliant. Am low key looking forward to Dying Light 2. Oddly one of my favourite features was the app for your phone, it came in so helpful.

2

u/norwayboyx1997 Oct 27 '21

App? What app?

1

u/proffplumpy Oct 27 '21

The amazing app! You send guys off for loot. Then log into the game to collect it. You can still collect things, even when away, made the game so much better.

2

u/Xellos77 Oct 27 '21

Caves of Qud. Still. Someone send help. Can't stop.

2

u/willy_juanka Oct 27 '21

Can you tell me what’s good about this game? Seems really interesting

3

u/Xellos77 Oct 27 '21

Mutated intelligent plants and quilled bears, exploding people's heads with your mind, replacing your legs with motorized treads, turning yourself into a ichor spitting slug, cooking bananas to learn how to build laser guns, growing an extra set of arms to wield 4 axes and lop off limbs/heads, cybernetically implanting a gun rack on your body to carry 4 guns, drinking brain fluid to mutate your body more than it already is, jumping through spacetime vortexes to land yourself 30 levels deep underground, phasing through solid rock and... Death. Lots of death.

Or you can rewind time with mental powers so that death never actually happened.

2

u/mississippipdx Oct 27 '21

Sniper elite 4! Never played the series but loving it so far. Nothing like laying in a pile of bushes for 10 minutes every 20 yards. Seriously though wonderful stealth game, gets very immersive

2

u/proffplumpy Oct 27 '21

Cities in Motion 2.

You get a pre made city then plan bus/tram/train routes around it and move people.

The way to make money: hire a ton of ticket inspectors and open a metro line.

2

u/Dudecrushgaming Oct 27 '21

Hollow knight

2

u/minev1128 Oct 27 '21

Nier Automata

1

u/take5b Oct 29 '21

Man do I have mixed feelings about that game. It is certainly unique that’s for sure.

1

u/minev1128 Oct 29 '21

It gave me existential crisis and I love it

2

u/chalamo1993 Oct 27 '21

I'm trying to learn Pax Nova. Noita when I need something smoother.

2

u/norwayboyx1997 Oct 27 '21

Today i might play far cry 6 also maybe buy the new guardians of the galaxy game

2

u/willy_juanka Oct 27 '21

Everspace 2! Really fun so far, solid RPG, think a more accessible Elite Dangerous.

2

u/NeoMemeLord25 Oct 27 '21

Continuing the Black Ops 1 campaign

2

u/TitaniumDragon Oct 27 '21
  • Astral Chain. I checked it out of the library. It is pretty good so far; very anime, but the central conceit is enjoyable enough and it gets straight to the point.

  • Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Fun game; I beat adventure mode and am now trying to learn how to play the whole cast in various modes.

  • Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition. Running a homebrew campaign. Just finished running the third adventure, the PCs are presently enjoying some downtime between adventures.

  • Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition. Playing in two campaigns - Saltmarsh and Mad Mage.

2

u/danceswithronin Oct 27 '21

So I am trying Horizon Zero Dawn again. I have bounced off this game multiple times, and I want to like it so much. It just seems like I hit a wall with the difficulty every time I first make it beyond the Embrace for the first time. I just absolutely get my ass kicked. I'm going to go back in and try doing some upgrading and farm some machines before trying to move on and see if that helps. I really, really want to like this one because the premise is fantastic and I want to finish the main storyline before Forbidden West comes out, so I'm determined to tough it out.

I'm also going back to Stardew Valley. I've never "finished" the game or even gotten to the third year because I'm a chronic reroll, so we'll see how far I get this time. I have never had a bad time playing this game, it is my Zen happy place.

I'm trying to replay Spec Ops: The Line a little but man I forgot how fucking janky the controls are in this game compared to modern shooters. It's 100% worth it for the storyline, it's one of the most interesting video game narratives I've experienced, but what a pain in the ass.

2

u/take5b Oct 28 '21

I remembered HZD being difficult after the intro area as well. To me it’s just a common open world problem, where you can go anywhere but you really should just go to one place. Eventually I beat and I suck at games so you can get it I’m sure.

1

u/danceswithronin Oct 28 '21

I've actually made it to Level 19 and that's easily the farthest I've ever gotten (just met the Sun King) so I think I actually made it over the hump! Helped that I actually buckled down and crafted some specialty outfits for combat, too.

2

u/poppervick Oct 27 '21

Just finished House of Ashes! Best one in the Dark Pictures Anthology yet.

Going to start Guardians of the Galaxy on Friday night!

2

u/Vidimivici Oct 27 '21 edited Oct 27 '21

Finally beat Gravity Rush 2. It's an interesting game but I really struggled with the gameplay once all of the enemies went airborne. It also has the worst stealth sections I've ever seen. When GR2 sticks to platforming and simple combat, though, it's pretty special. It clearly needed another 6 months or a year in development, though. Or a PC port.

Oh well. I wonder if Solar Ash will fair better.

I've also played a ton of Hades. It's probably my 2nd favorite rogue like behind Slay the Spire and in some ways it's better.

2

u/NiceTryIWontReply Oct 27 '21

Just finished Metroid Dread last night. Very satisfied. Gonna start a 100% play through tonight.

Downloaded Borderlands The Handsome collection to play with friends but forgot it wasn't crossplay, so I'm playing it solo

2

u/Jah8787 Oct 27 '21

Left 4 Dead it’s pretty fun with friends

2

u/Lowfuji Oct 27 '21

Borderlands 2 and Fallout 4.

I'm stuck in the Mechanist's Lair in F4. Keep hitting dead ends and running in circles over and over because I can't see the small buttons I'm supposed to press for certain lifts and doors. There was one lift next to a dead body in the brain extraction room, but the button was pretty much hidden and/or looked like background art.

Up to level 15 or so in Borderlands 2 with Salvador Gunzerker. Thinking about changing characters and starting over but I've already spent a bunch of hours on Sal.

2

u/Smile_Dog69 Xbox Oct 28 '21

I just finished Life is Strange

Playing Bloodborne on ng+1! And lemme tell you ! i want to die.

2

u/mvdberg176 Oct 27 '21

I hopped back on f1 2021 playing 2 player career, but I can't get the hang of it to stay on track with a car setup that I got from the internet. While my friend uses a default setup. Yesterday I crashed in all 3 practise sessions... I got the first place in qualifying (what is very easy because bots where on medium difficulty for my friend) and then got totally screwed by the ai and crashed in the first corner in the race. Fml

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '21 edited Nov 05 '21

2

u/mvdberg176 Oct 28 '21

Well it was that easy because you don't even have to push that hard on the difficulty I was on😂 Actually made a few mistakes in qualifying, but didn't crash😂 and I'm still wondering why I was pushing so hard in practise lmao

u/FearlessSelection814 Oct 27 '21

Ngl im playing fortnite this week. Only have my switch atm, my PS4 is being repaired. Any shooters y’all recommend? That’s the mood I’m in. Bonus points for split screen.

1

u/saro_yen Oct 27 '21

What are some games I can play at high or ultra settings on a last gen budget graphics card, say and RX 480?

My venom for scalpers and cryptominers so seething, I'd rather play old games than pay a GPU premium to play new AAAs. Also, any dev that creates games that don't sacrifice graphical fidelity too much and can run on my card, will get my money. Not scalpers.

u/Arkminer Oct 27 '21

I’ve been just playing UFC 4 Career Mode.

It’s pretty fun, but I keep winning via submission, mostly because the AI tries to take me to the ground, but I always end up reversing them, and attempt a submission to try and teach them a lesson, but I keep winning this way even though I’m a kickboxer.

Far Cry 6 coop with my gf... just having fun, causing chaos when she's going for stealth and I'm like: Is that a MACHINE GUN on my jetski ? RAMPAAAAAAAAAAAGE!

Riders Republic! Came with my new Intel CPU for free and it is alot of fun!

1

u/Mister-builder Oct 28 '21

Just finished New Vegas and now I'm going back to Fallout 3.

1

u/letthegooseloose Oct 28 '21

I started playing EverQuest again. Nostalgia played it's hand well. While the UI and controls are a little clunky, it's overall a great game. Like any MMORPG, having in-game connections is key and it feels pretty desolate currently. At least that's the case for being a newbie.

1

u/Haunting_Turnover920 Oct 29 '21

Battlefield 4 or Darksiders 2 Battlefield 4 has got an engaging campaign, and dark siders 2 is just fun overall.

1

u/Bricks777 Oct 29 '21

I am still waiting on Halo Infinite.

1

u/requiemofchaos Oct 29 '21

Just picked up Guardians of the Galaxy, and it's an absolute blast to play - stylish combat reminescent of Devil May Cry, Dragon Age-esque tactical elements with uses both in and out of battle, impactful decisions and great conversations clearly inspired by Telltale Games, beautiful visuals, hilarious writing that easily competes with that of the MCU movies, and an amazing soundtrack (including original tracks from a band called Star-Lord, and yes that IS where Peter gets the name from).

1

u/Heckler4 Oct 29 '21

Human Fall Flat. I’m playing co-op with my five year old daughter. It’s a fantastic game for driving for a goal, while fooling around and laughing at falling.

I realized how much it helps to cheer her on. After she failed a bunch at a jump or grab, I tried just standing there and waving my arms chanting her name and cheering her on. Her frustration went away. It seems intuitive, but I’m learning.

u/Datshwarma Oct 29 '21

Age of empires 4 just released by the way alot of people seem to not know.

is this XBOX GAME PASS available on steam? Or is it a purely seperate entity like microsoft store, epic launcher, Ubi soft launcher, steam , etc ? And also is it cross platform for the online mode such as halo / AOE 4 ?
