Disco Elysium. Got to punch a 12 year old in the face. Peak immersion

11

u/howdydoodybooty Jul 28 '21

He deserves it

6

u/Which-Palpitation Jul 28 '21

You think Cuno gives a fuck?

6

u/johng_g Jul 28 '21 edited Jul 28 '21

Man, this is one of those games that I keep thinking about well after finishing it months ago. What a unique experience it was. I really hope they are developing a sequel.

4

u/Which-Palpitation Jul 28 '21

I’m typically not a fan of RPGs unless it’s JRPGs, but damn if Disco Elysium isn’t groundbreaking

2

u/HotBoyFF Jul 28 '21

Can i ask what makes it so good? Its on my wishlist but havent grabbed it yet, keep passing it up

2

u/Which-Palpitation Jul 28 '21

It’s different is probably the best way to describe it, there’s no combat, you just have to talk your way around everything. Imagine table top RPGs, but a video game

0

u/hairykitty123 Jul 28 '21

I personally didn’t like it that much. Didn’t really care for the character, story or ending. It was really hyped in my head though so was kinda let down

3

u/Which-Palpitation Jul 28 '21

It’s definitely an odd game

3

u/SureSucces Jul 30 '21

The 12Ds of Christmas

2

u/Small_beginnings Jul 29 '21

Nice! I dream to play this game like a normal human being, not in a slideshow.

Managed to get to Day 3, sadly, had to put it down after. Absolute masterpiece.

2

u/Which-Palpitation Jul 29 '21

I just got to Day 3, I’ve run into a few bugs that make quests unplayable, it’s getting a bit annoying

3

u/Small_beginnings Jul 29 '21

Oh, really? What are those quests? What platform are you playing on?

1

u/Which-Palpitation Jul 29 '21

PS5, so far I’ve had my badge become unable to pick up, I’ve had to load old saves because it has more bugs. It doesn’t feel like it was optimized properly

13

u/BillowyWaffles Jul 28 '21

Replaying Red Dead Redemption 2 on my brand new PC I got. Can’t get over how good it looks.

2

u/Matt1112211 Jul 28 '21

Are you playing with any mods? I too upgraded my PC not long ago and am replaying it. Though, I thought it would look a little better. I may be a bit spoiled since I just played Death Stranding and Control which have fantastic graphics.

3

u/PSThrowaway3 PC Jul 29 '21

What are top 5 mods you'd reccomend for rdr2

2

u/BillowyWaffles Jul 29 '21

Not yet. I probably will play around with some mods after I finish the story. Having the new DLSS update has really helped it visually.

9

u/DocktorD Jul 28 '21

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. I’m about 75% done with it. It’s been in the backlog forever and I’ve never beaten it so it’s nice to finally see why it’s many people’s favorite AC title. It definitely is one of the best. I’m gonna play the DLC right after.

3

u/fs2d Jul 28 '21

It was definitely my favorite - such a great game. Never played any of the DLC though and my game/save are long gone. :(

2

u/PSThrowaway3 PC Jul 29 '21

What're your top 3 (in order) AC games?

1

u/GordoHeartsSnake Jul 29 '21

There's a black flag DLC?

1

u/DocktorD Jul 29 '21

Yeah it’s called Freedom Cry where you play as Adewale and there’s an Aveline DLC who was in Liberation

Stiiiiill Stardew. Too much has changed since last I played, I can’t put it down.

I became a millionaire, got married, and then got rushed by my own slimes.

It was great.

10

u/lessioa Jul 28 '21

FFXIV all day everyday

5

u/starrstorm1 Jul 28 '21

I just started this yesterday, its my first mmo since I played guild wars 2 like 5ish years ago and I'm super hyped, heard a lot of great things

3

u/lessioa Jul 28 '21

You are in for a ride my friend <3

2

u/fs2d Jul 28 '21

Been hooked on this for the last few days as well. The trial is crazy - and while the ARR story is a bit of a slog (you can tell that it has aged a bit), it's scratching the best kind of itch at the moment :)

2

u/lessioa Jul 28 '21

It is a bit of a slog! But if you can play your way through it you will have even more fun in the endgame :)

1

u/fs2d Jul 28 '21

I hope so -- that's what I've been told! I'm at Lv 32 at the moment, just now moving away from the areas around the major cities for the Scions (post GC choice and all that), which isn't so bad with a Chocobo/mount. Running everywhere on foot pre-GC choice was a nightmare though, although teleporting/fast traveling did help with that a bit.

Stoked to see where these quests and the story goes, although they've been laying the groundwork pretty well for what the ARR endgame entails. :)

1

u/4thandOne Jul 29 '21

Why? I'm asking sincerely.

I played XI day one and liked it but never loved it. WoW won. Then Rift won. Then not wanting to ever play an MMO again won lol.

But I see enough positivity on this one that I am getting curious.

2

u/lessioa Jul 29 '21

Because the game is that good! We’re already on our third expansion, with the fourth one coming this November. And with every expansion the game becomes bigger and better. The story continues and it’s awesome. The music is phenomenal. There are new jobs to play with every expansion(fight classes), more dungeons and raids, extreme primals, more areas to do quests in and so much more. If you love mmo’s this is a game you need to check out. Right now the game is growing really fast because more and more people are starting to realise how good it is, and they have no plans of stopping it soon.

2

u/4thandOne Jul 29 '21

Hmmm. If I ever do decide to get back in to an MMO, I'll give it a whirl.

1

u/4thandOne Jul 30 '21

I'm not saying I am going to play it but I am downloading it now. We'll see. lol

1

u/lessioa Jul 30 '21

Awesome haha! Im gonna play too now :) if you need any help, ask me! Take your time, and please, read everything and follow the story, don’t skip it!

2

u/johng_g Jul 28 '21

Do I start with the free level 1-60 trial? What is the best way to play start this game? I hear so much about it and I want to get into it with my friends.

(I hear the first bit is a bit of a drag to get through?)

1

u/lessioa Jul 28 '21

Jup, start with the trial! You can play till level 60. However, there are some things you can’t do like trading or send private messages. But if you like it you can always upgrade ;)

1

u/fs2d Jul 29 '21

That's what I did - started with the 1-60 trial. It's free, and there's hundreds and hundreds of hours of content available for free with it (and that isn't me being hyperbolic).

It's a bit overwhelming and is definitely a slog at first - ARR is def showing its age a bit - but I'm really enjoying it.

7

u/ClassySpoon Jul 28 '21

Taking a break from grinding in DotA, and doing my first play-through of Divinity: Original Sin 2.

3

u/fs2d Jul 28 '21

Absolutely fantastic game. I've played through it so many times and it honestly just never gets old.

Larian smashed that one out of the park.

1

u/ClassySpoon Jul 29 '21

Love it too. Cant wait for Baldurs Gate to come out of EA

7

u/Daredevil200 Jul 28 '21

Playing Assassin's Creed 3 for the first time, hope it is as good as the past 4 games

4

u/mixedd Jul 28 '21

Liked it very much back in a day. Maybe unpopular opinion, but like Connors story very much

3

u/Daredevil200 Jul 28 '21

He seems very different from Ezio and Altair so I am pumped to play around with him

3

u/mixedd Jul 28 '21

Yeah, maybe that's why I liked it. As you start as no one, basically small kid who develops further. Well also I like that times setting too.

0

u/Daredevil200 Jul 28 '21

I don't know much about the American Revolution so it will be interesting for me, I also get to kill Brits so I am satisfied

2

u/mixedd Jul 28 '21

Well I'm not American so I don't know this era to the latest detail, and it was really interesting to me. Knew some bits and pieces about some key characters and some events, but as a European was sunken in that historic events while playing.

1

u/Daredevil200 Jul 28 '21

Damn now I am really fucking hyped to play it, thanks

2

u/mixedd Jul 28 '21

You're welcome 😊 How good or bad this game will feel to you, only you can judge. I really liked it, my friend hated it (he basically hates every AC game besides Black Flag) but that's different story

1

u/Daredevil200 Jul 28 '21

Wait he doesn't like any of the Altair or Ezio stuff? HERETIC WE MUST BURN HIM AT THE STAKE

2

u/mixedd Jul 28 '21

🤣 Yeah, he only like like Black Flag, and as far as I remember liked Origins too, rest of games he tried and disliked. Idk why, but first two was definetly legendary

2

u/DocktorD Jul 28 '21

Nice! I’m on black flag now. But AC3 is one of my favs. Getting 100% can be a pain in the ass though.

5

u/CJHarts Jul 28 '21

Bloodborne

2

u/Twinkl3_Toez Jul 28 '21

Ayy, same here, just bought it a few days ago and been loving it

3

u/Ferelar Jul 28 '21

You're in the know, right?

3

u/starrstorm1 Jul 28 '21

Playing lots of loop hero lately and I just started FFXIV for the first time yesterday after lots of install issues. I'm playing a gladiator on Aether and I made him look like guts from bersek, excited to dive in.

3

u/Thebrunette1023 Jul 28 '21

I'm playing Assassin's Creed Syndicate! I haven't played it in three years and it was always a game I had a lot of fun with, I find it relaxing and satisfying :)

2

u/Krazzay Jul 29 '21

This game is fun and I really enjoyed it. I’ve played every ac and this one is very enjoyable. However I got burned out after playing valhalla

3

u/ner3m Jul 28 '21

Finally got a PS5. Just finished Ratchet&Clank, now starting Demon’s Souls. If I can spare some time I’ll probably do the rest of the trophies for R&C (awesome game by the way)

3

u/Realdoctorman123 Jul 29 '21

Currently l Playing chivalry 2. Can’t stop! Won’t stop!

3

u/Vancilicious Jul 29 '21

Monster Hunter Stories 2, enjoying it so far and it feels like I've barely started. Plenty of customization and challenges to keep me occupied

4

u/Chuybear1 Jul 28 '21

Fallout new Vegas goty edition . There’s so much to do and chose. Helldivers for the ps vita. It’s fun when people join your missions.

1

u/PSThrowaway3 PC Jul 29 '21

On PC?

Isn't it really unstable like Fallout 3 on Windows 10

1

u/Chuybear1 Jul 29 '21

I play in ps3 it works pretty good. I just can’t tell when it’ll randomly freeze which doesn’t happen often

2

u/GabelDerGaensehaut Jul 28 '21

Try some rounds sekiro in the morning. My last from from software game to beat. Now iam depressed. I never beat this game

1

u/PSThrowaway3 PC Jul 29 '21

2

u/Cyog Jul 28 '21

minecraft

2

u/Rawme9 Jul 28 '21

WoW 😣 i just cancelled my subscription today though and am looking for suggestions. Tried final fantasy and wasn't into it, i like Smite and Paladins so may give those another shot

1

u/Paladinni Jul 28 '21

Have you tried Torchlight 2? Also, take a look at Weird West, looks interesting.

2

u/res30stupid PlayStation Jul 28 '21

Been replaying Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Managed to get the last step needed before unlocking the good ending.

2

u/MrRobotVSTheWorld Jul 28 '21

The wife and I started playing HORIZON ZERO DAWN (which got the bulk of our play time) and HOLLOW KNIGHT on and off since late last week, and I’ve started a playthrough of YAKUZA 0. My first exposure to the series was playing JUDGMENT, and YAKUZA: LIKE A DRAGON was probably my favorite game of 2020, so I’m excited to give the proper mainline series a run. I’ve just started Chapter 2 and started knocking out some substories this morning.

2

u/diamondcow11 Jul 28 '21

Satisfactory is currently downloading. I’m excited to play

2

u/Sandy909090 Jul 30 '21

It's awesome game. Did you heard about Factorio?

1

u/diamondcow11 Jul 30 '21

Yeah I tried it. I couldn’t get past the 2d graphics.

2

u/MyHandsAreFresh Jul 29 '21

Siege

Myhandsareowls

Fly with me fools

2

u/fookthisshite Jul 29 '21

I’m a day late but want to pout. I’m playing nothing :( at almost the same time my PC started shutting down unexpectedly (no warning of shut down or anything) and my Switch started drifting.... not a good week for me!

2

u/Sal_T_Nuts Jul 29 '21

Currently burned out on gaming. I did play Orcs Must Die 3 this week and was very fun, used to play the other 2 but they are the kind of games that are finished after doing the campaign.

2

u/4thandOne Jul 29 '21

OK so finally started Death Stranding.

LMAO WHAT THE FUCK?! I know it's Kojima so I'm not super surprised but still. Also seeing a lot of really direct similarities to MGSV, which isn't a problem at all.

Just finished episode 1.

2

u/ShweatyPalmsh Jul 29 '21

Foxhole. It’s a MMO top down third person shooter. You join one of two factions the colonials or the wardens. It’s a continuous war that has base building, trench warfare, tank ware fare, naval invasions, etc. Great community and completely player driven from tech, promotions, strategy, and fighting. It was $20 on steam and it’s a joy to play with friends.

2

u/Richarkeith1984 Jul 30 '21

Was apprehensive about ff7 remake. Didn't catch too many comments negative or positive, 4 hrs in and rly enjoying it. Looks great, combat and music is good. Made me happy. Conversely (just bought a ps4 first console since xb360, wanted to try a ps exclusive and God of War so far seems like a button smash game). Happy I got ff7.

2

u/TheWizardGeorge Jul 30 '21

I'd highly recommend playing GOW at the harder difficulties. Definitely not a button mashing game, it's much closer to dark souls where you actually need to think about what you're doing, or you die. It's got an amazing story and pretty diverse gameplay, plus it looks REALLY good.

1

u/Richarkeith1984 Jul 30 '21

Thx for the info.

4

u/NotMyThrowawayNope Jul 28 '21

The Witcher 3. Finally got around to playing it many years late. God I wish I was into video games back when it came out because I feel like I missed out on a lot of hype and discussion about it.

3

u/insanemoviereviewer Jul 28 '21

While beautiful game I never got the hype behind The Witcher 3. I played it on my Series X and while the Next-Gen version isn't out it's still a marvelous game to look at. The sunset, the textures, the trees shaking in the wind. I remember feeling overwhelmed by the amount of shadows. Go into a tiny forest of dead trees and you'll see sunrays pass through every tiny branch creating this almost tumult of a shadow grid on the ground.

But the gameplay? I just didn't feel it. Go from here to there for more exposition. Duke it out a few times here or there. After playing both recent Assassin's Creed TW3 didn't feel fresh at all. But after playing games like Yakuza 0 and LAD, I can't say I don't see how a story can keep you playing for hours as those games are all stories. They're exactly how I see The Witcher so it might just be the world that isn't for me.

I wouldn't make a point out of it if this game wasn't so popular. I feel like there might be more to it, maybe? I mean, with overly popular games like COD there's always people calling it out for what it is but with TW3 I never see those people. Either the game is so good nobody talks bad about it or the joy over this game drowns the negativity.

1

u/Which-Palpitation Jul 28 '21

It’s getting new DLC at some point soon, there’s no release date yet, but you’ll at least be able to join in on the conversation then

3

u/hairykitty123 Jul 28 '21

They should be fixing cyberpunk instead unless they gave up

1

u/Which-Palpitation Jul 28 '21

They’re doing both

2

u/NotMyThrowawayNope Jul 28 '21

That blows my mind that they're releasing any sort of DLC for a game that old.

1

u/Which-Palpitation Jul 28 '21

It’s based off of the Netflix series I believe, it’s coming with the next gen upgrade

1

u/Small_beginnings Jul 29 '21

It’s probably gonna be some minor stuff and such. But, not, like, a campaign or something. I’m guessing those ugly fucking armors from show are going to get added.

3

u/Gam3R4321337 Jul 28 '21

Diablo 3 Season

3

u/TrippyJosh_YT Jul 28 '21

Gta Online, Red Dead Redemption 2 Online

2

u/MyHandsAreFresh Jul 29 '21

Are there poker tournaments in RD2? Like can I make money being a gambler?

1

u/TrippyJosh_YT Jul 29 '21

no idea but making money as a gambler would take forever

1

u/KhAiMeLioN Jul 29 '21

What's the best role play of the two?

2

u/ignatzami Jul 28 '21

Oxygen Not Included. I've sunk hours into it this week. It's brutal, unforgiving, the art style is cartoony, and wonderful.

It's such an easy game to pick up, but there's such depth, so much replay value. It's exactly what a game should be.

1

u/simielblack Jul 29 '21

Spaced Out or regular?

2

u/ignatzami Jul 29 '21

Regular, I'll pick up Spaced Out once I can keep a single colony alive.

1

u/simielblack Jul 29 '21

Lol, it only gets harder once you can keep a colony alive because then you get ideas, the most dangerous things to any colony.

1

u/ignatzami Jul 29 '21

I'm working on oil right now. Just managed to get a SPOM going, and I've got the basics of temp management setup. My big idea? Ranching fish!

2

u/hooyahemt Jul 28 '21

Cold War Zombies and Modern Warfare!! Personally I think MW is so much better than CW but I do like Zombies. I'll be grinding for a Obsidian camo

3

u/Darthismyfirstname Jul 28 '21

Just finished Yakuza like a dragon in the morning. One of the best RPGs i have played recently. Started Nfs Payback but got incredibly bored after some time xD. Now gonna start Enslaved.

2

u/DocktorD Jul 28 '21

Need for speed bores me to death too. I remember playing underground 1 and couldn’t put it down. I don’t know what happened to this franchise.

1

u/Darthismyfirstname Jul 28 '21

Heat is a nice one though. That’s the only title i have enjoyed from the franchise in recent times. It was a major improvement over payback and payback is just dud.

2

u/mixedd Jul 28 '21

Jedi: Fallen Order
Well technically replaying it, as I played it at launch on PC, but on XSX it's way much more comfortable. Still like that oldschool metroidvania feel.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '21

[deleted]

2

u/mixedd Jul 28 '21

No PC is fine, and runt it well (besides bugs). More comfortable to me was playing it with controller then on mouse and keyboard, and yes, I didn't use controller on PC

1

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '21

[deleted]

2

u/mixedd Jul 28 '21

Sure I know, used in a past, and still now I can freely hookup my XSX controller to PC and use it. Just lately prefer gaming on console. Less spent time debugging, and fiddling with settings (think I just got older and started to appreciate my now limited time much more)

1

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '21

[deleted]

1

u/mixedd Jul 28 '21

Don't know if something changed, but in past those setting that GeForce experience preset was way off, and much better result was achieved by manual tweaking. For me after all those years on PC (since early 00s) I just got tired of countless tweaks, driver updates and from time to time unexpected crashes and errors and bug fixing (get those things in big amount at work). So console for my current needs just works best

1

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '21

[deleted]

1

u/mixedd Jul 28 '21

Recent example, wanted to play some Destiny, crashed about few min in strikes with some GFX error. Started debugging, lost like 2h till I found culprit. Turned out for some reason it didn't like that my RAM was set to XMP. For some reason after two years some game doesn't like my XMP settings anymore 😂 nothing fancy, just a few clicks to fix it but still, after reading misleading logs, limited time lost, and that time put into analysis and bug fixing (which I do 8h a day at work). Dialed back XMP and run memtest overnight without single error.

So for me why I'm currently gaming on console is pure time economy

Apex until I can get that stupid event on camera then I'm gonna go and look through my library and probably play deep rock galactic because that game is freaking beautiful

1

u/thoseepicpokemons Jul 28 '21

I recently bought Touhou 15.5: Antinomy of Common Flowers, Touhou 18: Unconnected Marketeers, and White Noise Online. I've been loving all three of them (particularly WNO because it has some nostalgic value for me, my brother played it years ago).

1

u/Hooch555 Jul 28 '21

The binding of isaac: repentance Im currently trying to complete one achievment a day if my work/life/gf schedule allowes it. Roughly 170/~800 to go.

After that i usually quene up with some friends for some suffering in hunt: showdown.

Fall Guys

1

u/Lordkontie Jul 28 '21

Orin’s Sphere

1

u/OldBoyZee Jul 28 '21

Man of medan/ yakuza 7.

1

u/Toimeton Jul 28 '21

Started Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel. The previous games were good and this seems to keep that competent momentum going. A bit sad to see it turned into yet another thing revolving around, what are essentially, Japanese high-school kids. Guess Persona is to blame. Whole lotta JRPGing ahead.

1

u/Luxray1000 Jul 28 '21

Finally getting into Dragon Quest 8. I've tried playing the game a couple of times and just couldn't get engaged with it, but this time it's going well.

1

u/TitaniumDragon Jul 28 '21

I just started Watch Dogs 2 last night. Made it to the DeadSec headquarters before going to work.

The intro was far weaker than the first game and the "heroes" are a bunch of punk kids who aren't nearly as heroic as they think they are. Though maybe that's the point?

2

u/GordoHeartsSnake Jul 28 '21

It is a complete shift in tone from WD1. WD2 is by far my favorite of the series as it has a great assortment of hacks to unlock and the missions are fun. The DeadSec team is alright. Wrench seems to be everyone's favorite. Marcus also was a more approachable protagonist compared to Aiden.

1

u/GordoHeartsSnake Jul 28 '21

Did a little bit of flight school and then crashed in Orlando on flight simulator. Mostly playing outer worlds. I don't get where people are saying Edgewater is the only good planet. There are quite a few planets past Edgewater that have comparable sizes, characters, and missions.

1

u/OsMyDog Jul 28 '21

Tribes of Midgard, then some board games later tonight.

1

u/MyHandsAreFresh Jul 29 '21

How is that? The PVE sounded cool but no PVP sounded lame

1

u/OsMyDog Jul 29 '21

It's fun. Played with a group of five friends. Rogue lite/ diablo style.

1

u/NoSleepTill0blivion Jul 28 '21

Same as everyday: think about starting a new game and just playing Slay the Spire instead

1

u/MyHandsAreFresh Jul 29 '21

Bruh, I get you

1

u/Steezus_H_Christ Jul 28 '21

Death’s Door! Exactly the type of game I was looking for and I’m so stoked to see a new indie release hit on so many things I love in a game. Just the thing I needed right now.

1

u/starrstorm1 Jul 28 '21

Im hyped to give this game a shot someday, too much in my backlog rn to fit it in yet :/

1

u/TwilightPark Jul 28 '21

Cris Tales. The game is quite charming and the music is actually fantastic. Also playing Guilty Gear Strive on the side.

1

u/WoomyMan9000 Switch Jul 28 '21

I’m mashing the L button in the Earthbound Threed tent, if you know, you know

1

u/classyfenn Jul 28 '21

Been playing few games. dirt 3, as my brother had it on Xbox 360 when I was little and I never got to play it much, IMO it’s the last fun dirt game before dirt rally, and i wish they would bring back battersea in the modern games, also the frame rate really could used some work on pc. Also Minecraft, and I have been working on a ice boat race track on a server

1

u/ElmStreetMattressCo Jul 28 '21

Nearing the end of Metroid: Samus Returns for the first time. Also replaying Fusion on the Wii U to see how it looks on the big screen. Not bad at all for a GBA title. Can't wait for Dread.

1

u/Best_Picture_clips Jul 28 '21

I feel obsessed at playing FighterZ

1

u/Anonymous_Snow Jul 28 '21

Ac: Valhalla.

Before that I tried rdr2 for the third time. Couldn’t get into it, again. Before that some tekken, mk and streetfighter.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '21

Mainly playing skyrim.

1

u/AliceDeSade Jul 28 '21

GTAV and Titanfall2 have been my go to. I'm not the best at TF2, but I love grappling around and feeling like I'm Spiderman lol

1

u/Paladinni Jul 28 '21

Almost at the end of Yakuza 7. Later, I may take a week to try No Man's Sky (haven't touched since launch). If I don't like it, I may start Everspace or Ace Combat 7.

1

u/karmaster Jul 28 '21

Keep swapping between Deaths Door and Disco Elysium, both amazing so far.

1

u/snobro7 Xbox Jul 28 '21

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Absolutely digging the combat, but man can this game be tedious in it’s backtracking and exploration

1

u/BlazeDrag Jul 29 '21

Was trying to learn Guilty Gear Strive, before getting a swift reminder that one does not simply try to learn a fighting game

Probably almost no one as ever heard of it but woomy-arras.io, a lot of tanks and choices but I hate the ai tanks and crashers

Currently playing Mystery Dungeon 1 for the Super Famicom. It’s a spin off of Dragon Quest IV and seems to be almost everything I want from a basic Roguelike. Also, most of the translation slaps.

Minecraft, again. Never gets old!

Does Game of Life: Re-Employmentless 2 Definitive Edition counts? Well, I’m in it anyway.

Playing Animation Throwdown and Club Vegas slots on my phone/PC emulator. I like these two cuz they're basically mindless and I can listen to TV and or browse Reddit during ads and such. That and I head a guild/club on both games. In a bout of depression right now as I'm jobless, but I do miss my PS4 playtime. The backlog grows.

Since Metroid dread is coming out I decided to play the only Metroid game I have, super Metroid and it’s very good and fun

i'm currently looking for a game to play since blizzard.. well you guys know what's going on

i've seen mention of a big war game on this subreddit not too long ago that i can't find again, basically it was some big open mmo where you could play as whatever you wanted, from sneaking behind enemy lines to driving a truck and delivering supplies, to beeing far in the back actually making the weapons and whatnot to deliver as well

anyone knows what game i'm talking about?

I got you fam. It's Foxhole!

FYI though it gets kind of old fast if you're on the front lines. Lots of stalemates as people try to take bridges but can't because each side is heavily fortified. Might want to look into Squad for an alternative (has logistics driving and some similar things but does not have mining or making weapons like in Foxhole). If you like playing support though Foxhole might be a fun game for you!

Death Stranding. (Got like, 70 hours logged. But only just left the first area. I refuse to move on until I hit 5 stars for each facility).

Fortnite (Never played it before. My friend has spent the last few months hinting he wants me to play it. So I checked if it was cross-platform. It is. So I grabbed it on my PC. Won the first 5 matches we did as Duo. Still chasing that streak).

DAEMON X MACHINA (Just started playing it. I basically play any game. I do not care what the genre is. I have low standards too so I enjoy 99% of the stuff I play. Recently I've been in a bit of a Sci-fi mood. Wanted to play with Mechs).

Warframe (Never played this one before. But for some reason I had a few hours logged on my Steam account? Worrying. Fucking loving it).

I'm playing AC: Unity this week, besides the bad critisism due the poor launch, the gameplay is very smooth and Paris is one of the greatest cities in a video-game.

I'm playing Just Cause 3 too, going for the 100% completion, 75% in, wish me luck

I'm very new to PC gaming and I didn't really grasp the concept of multiple platforms, on Playstation is was "you have this and only option", now that I have plenty I would like to explore and get better offers XD tired of spending those monthly subscription just to play online...

How is GOG.com, can I transfer games to Steam once I buy them there? Will I get updates if I do so?

(I would like to see if I can get better offers there for a couple of games I saw)

Can mods please ban the 'I'm working on such and such game' type posts, with their hundreds of bots. This place is turning into a spam sub.

Persona 5 Royal. I'm 35 hours in and just got my first new Thrieves member since the initial four, which makes me slightly worried about the games length.

It's not my first Persona game, plus it's a jrpg, so I know it's par for the course, and I am fully enjoying it. Ann might be my favorite character in the series, replacing Aigis.

Didn't think much of the soundtrack at first, compared to Persona 3 and 4, but it's steadily growing on me. They've made great improvements on the dungeons, frequency of saves, and other QoL stuff.

The guillotine fusion of personas is awful. I can't watch it!

Second post. I always go back to league of legends. All time fav. I play it every week. Best pvp game ever imo. Every match is different. Almost always competitive.

u/rebelforce303 Jul 30 '21

Pshh not a thing but I wish I was playing a sequel to souikoden, or lunar the silver star story. Love those classics.

I didn’t like Metro Exodus when it first released, but I started playing it a week ago on my ps5 and for some reason I’m now really loving it.
